Guy (C.E.O)

Having worked for over 20 years in the music industry Guy has been involved in most aspects of the business beginning with the ownership of a successful recording studio which soon progressed into artist management and Production. Guy has seen his artists performing UK/World tours with such acts as varied as 'Tinie Tempah', 'Mr Hudson'. Chipmunk', 'Hadouken' ‘Go West’ - ‘Culture Club’ - ‘UB40’ - ’Magnum’ - ‘Thin Lizzy’ & ‘Whitesnake’ . 

With his Father being a very successful Jazz drummer, Guy’s whole family were immersed in music so it is with great passion that he undertakes his day to day tasks of running a record label.

With a wealth of experience behind him and the digital age apparent, Guy and his daughter Lisa felt the timing was perfect for the formation of a progressive indie label that could react quickly to the ever changing market place. ZY Records Ltd was formed in 2006.

The most important thing that Guy and Lisa have learned throughout their wealth of experience can be summed up in two words...'end result'

Zy Records was formed based on this principle and as the company name implies, it is all about turning the whole musical alphabet backwards if necessary to create precisely that.

Lisa (Managing Director)

Lisa handles many day to day aspects of the business and like many indie labels her position demands that she covers much ground in her capacity which includes A & R, Campaigns creation & engagement and Tour Organisation.

Lisa has completed 2 UK tours as TM and oversees the performance operation.

Proving music really is in the blood, Lisa is also an accomplished songwriter and has tracks on two forthcoming albums and has already chalked up a top 3 hit record which she co-wrote.

Gary (Shareholder)

Having spent 20 years in Private equity Gary brings with him a wealth of corporate experience together with an incredible fighting spirit borne through his time serving his country as a Royal Marines Commando.

Throughout his service career, Gary witnessed many humanitarian issues and devotes much time in his capacity as a mentor for the Prince's Trust where he is actively involved in mentoring disadvantaged young people starting their own businesses....

Toni (Shareholder)

Toni is the founder, President and CEO of Swedish based group ‘Ipendo’, one of the Worlds leading providers of Intellectual Property Solutions and services. Ipendo have offices in Sweden, Amsterdam and San Diego and operate internationally for their blue chip client base.

Toni  assists the close knit team with him his wealth of experience in business development, online solutions and marketing strategy. Proving he really is the smart one of the bunch, Toni also holds an M.S.C. in Applied Physics & Electrical Engineering

Bruce Drummond LLM (New York) Barrister-at-Law (Legal Affairs)

In his early days Bruce enjoyed a successful career as a musician and has appeared on seven albums and three singles. As a lawyer, with specialist expertise in media and entertainment law, Bruce has appeared in a number of high profile cases and has wide experience in Commercial Litigation and especially those cases involving international issues, having developed a multi-jurisdictional practice.

Steve Baughman aka 'Steve B' (Record Producer)

LA based  Grammy award-winning producer Steve B is a core member of the team, whose talent and expertise is well documented and something we are extremely proud to have an association with.

Steve has created and worked on multi-platinum albums for an impressive host of artists including: Michael Jackson, Coldplay, Eminem, 50 Cent, P!NK, the Pussycat Dolls, Destiny’s Child, Snoop Dogg and many more.
