Elli U
Elli U is a striking and gifted 20 year old artist from Riga, Latvia who began performing from a very early age accomplishing great success in her home country and surrounding territories. With huge local support Elli U has achieved 6 straight top 3 records including a No. 1 single which remained in the top spot for 6 weeks, all before she turned 18.
Elli signed to ZY Records in October 2008 when she was just 17 and has since had 2 additional top 5’s in the Baltic charts; a 6 page interview in Baltic States FHM Magazine (Miss July in their 2009 calendar); has collaborated with UK hip hop artist ‘Tenny Ten (hailed as the future of UK rap) on her single ‘Like a Disease’ (reached No. 2 in Dec ’08) and she currently features on a TV show in her home country as a Video Jockey.
Elli U’s debut album for ZY Records, ‘Pure’, is co produced by the critically acclaimed and award winning Mr Woo (Billboard No. 1 writer/Producer) and with Elli U being fluent in English, Russian and Latvian, Mr Woo has also recorded her in Russian hoping to exploit a market where he already has achieved many top 10 records.
The first single from Elli’s album is ‘You & I’, written by Mr Woo and the labels CEO in partnership with Sweden’s and Universal Records’ hugely successful top line writer ‘Jones’, ‘You & I’, is a taste of what everyone can expect from an album everyone involved with are convinced represents a spectacular piece of artistry guaranteed to gain significant attention.
Elli U was asked recently by a glamour magazine in which she featured if her album will sound as good as she looks...”you had better believe it” was her reply. Elli U’s debut album is complete and ready for release Autumn 2011.

Elli U is fluent in English, Latvian and Russian and has her own VJ show in her home country of Latvia where she has been the corporate face of the largest banking chain in the city as well as countless other blue chip companies. Elli recently featured in FHM Magazine (Miss July), OK Magazine as well as playing and modelling at some very high profile venues in London, Paris and Milan. July 2011 saw Elli modelling in London with H.R.H Prince Phillip in attendance.
